The Nehalem Bay House, a former assisted living facility, closed abruptly during Covid and has been vacant since. The facility is now being repurposed into independent affordable senior housing, and we’re planning to start renovations in a few weeks. The property owner left behind a lot of furnishings, supplies and equipment that we will not need for the future use. We would love to donate as much of this as possible, and I’m reaching out with the hope that community members could use some of these items.

Attached is a link to a google photo album with images and below is a list of some key items we’d like to find a home for. We’re trying to avoid filling the landfill with the items that were left behind.

We will be holding an open house of sorts for anyone interested in stopping by Friday, April 25 from 10am to 2 pm. Everything is free! We will likely have an additional open house day (or two) next week.

The property is located at 35385 Tohl Avenue Nehalem, OR.

Free quality packing materials

I receive meals shipped in quality packing that is sheets of bubblewrap with foil on both sides. It is good for cushioning delicate items and great for insulation. I’d like to see this material recycled. I will gladly deliver a supply to you in Manzanita, Nehalem or Wheeler monthly if you can use this. If you are outside the area, I will save it for you if you wish to pick it up in Manzanita. It is clean and in good condition, so it would be a benefit to businesses who ship fragile materials. Please email if interested. Thanks!

Free rugs

Rugs are being stored upright, no room to roll out. The photos show the patterns. They are used and fairly old, probably need cleaning. They are 5’ and approximately 5’3” wide, not sure how long, but probably 8’or 9’. Please call Ana at 541-631-1112 for pick up in Cannon Beach. Sorry I can’t deliver. Happy Earth Day!!
