volunteer green-leaved japanese maple seedlings

to all in the BBQ community,

there are still an abundance of japanese maple seedlings growing along the steps down the hillside into my garden. they are now 1″ to 4″ tall. even a couple are 5″!

i have been slowly weeding them, but there are still lots left. if anyone wants to come dig some up–all that’s necessary is a trowel–please text me at 503-812-4637.

now that we’re in the heat of summer, you would want to be sure to put them in small pots and keep them well watered.

Rockwell 10 inch Contractor Saw

This saw and the motor are frozen. The top is cast iron. I used it in my custom finish carpentry business and it served me well. When I moved here in 1988, I had no place to keep it and the coast air took over. I do believe that the saw itself could be loosened up. Project? Scrap metal? You pick.

I’m simultaneously unpacking & putting in a garden so I have a big bag of bubble wrap up for grabs for packing, art, your store or mailing stuff.

Also, about 10 of the sturdy 1 gallon black garden pots. I’m past trying to give them to neighbors because the collection never ends. So if you have a greenhouse or a garden club that needs these for future sales let’s connect.

Both FREE and both in Cannon Beach’s north end.

FREE kids bicycle

FREE kids bicycle.
We got it for free last summer and it’s time to pass it on.
Worked well for a 3 year old.
Not beautiful though functional.
Coaster brakes work well, as do the training wheels.
Chain is oiled, tires pumped up – ready to ride.
Use it, pass it on, maybe on BBQ.

Downsizing otherwise would keep this amazing mattress. It’s ikea but rivals the very expensive mattresses I’ve purchased – I love it so much but we don’t have room.

FREE RECEPTION STAND

Hi BBQ-

I have a reception desk stand (just the front part, not the actual desk) that was custom built for my acupuncture practice in 2007 that needs a new home. It’s in need of some restoration as it has been outside (covered/dry) for about 2 years. It was a gorgeous piece in its day and if you have wood working experience I know it can be beautiful again.

To top piece is a fir slab, the base is constructed with plywood and bamboo veneer.

Dimensions are 88″ long, 28 1/2″ at the widest point of the curve, and just shy of 4 feet high.

The first pic is of it in its original glory, I tried to add the second picture of it today., but it wouldn’t accept the image. I can send directly to you, Email me if you’re interested.

It is yours if you can come get it in the next couple of days!

MUNCH a LUNCH

With school out, many of our kids do without lunch each day. Munch a Lunch is a free program for kids Wheeler to Manzanita. All they need to do is show up and get their sack lunch to take home and eat every Monday and Wednesday through August 21st. They will get 2 lunches each Monday and 3 lunches on Wednesdays. The lunches are shelf stable.
There are several “grab & go” sites in the area.
South Route:
11:00 to 11:10 in Wheeler (across from the PO)
11:20 to 11:30 Mohler Market Parking Lot
11:40 to 11:50 Miami/Foley & Foss Rd
12:00 to 12:10 White Clover Grange Parking Lot
