Day of the Dead Ancestor Celebration – Wednesday Evening November 1 at the White Clover Grange
The veil is thin and thus your departed ancestors and beloved dead as well as those of this place are especially near. Let’s honor them and communicate with any beneficent ones who want to appear. The invitation is to help create altars around the large space at the Grange. You could do one for your own ancestors, or the animals, or the ancestors of this place or “decolonizing your ancestors” or or or whatever/whoever calls to you ….. also Altars for the Directions, Altar for forgiveness…There will be lots of materials you can use to create with. If you don’t want to create an altar from scratch there will be places to add photos and momentos of your own “people” in as well.
Rough Schedule:
4 pm – I need a few folks at my house to help tote and transport bins full of fabrics, sacred items, drums, etc.
5 pm – Grange opens and the magical play of creating a sacred space begins
6 ish – Ceremony Gathering
7 ish – Potluck. Bring food to share that your people loved
8:30 ish – Clean up – Help packing up and schlepping away
Please let me know what you want to take on and when you can be present to help. It takes a village….

Participants will be introduced to the art of basket making during this great workshop led by
Brian Krehbiel of the Confederated Tribes of the Grande Ronde.
Brian has 15+ years as a tribal educator. Although Brian is an enrolled member of Grand Ronde,
his tribal lineage descends from Nipissing band of Ojibway, Chinook, Luckiamute Kalapuya,
Umpqua, Iroquois, Shasta, Tillamook, Takilma, Mary’s River Kalapuya, German, Irish and
Spanish. Brian will give a short presentation on gathering native vegetation and materials,
processing, and basket making, along with how he learned to make baskets. After the introduction he will guide 15 people in making a small basket from start to finish using native
plants that he and others will provide.

Food Roots beloved annual fundraiser Pie Night is coming up on November 4th, at 5pm at Pacific Restaurant in Tillamook. It is an event where our community comes together to support Food Roots programming. For this year’s 15th annual celebration there will be food prepared by local chef and Pacific Restaurant owner Nelia Serapion, a bar takeover by Buoy Brewing of Astoria, live music from Oak Bottom Boys, a live auction of pies prepared by local bakers, chefs and community partners, a silent auction featuring items from local businesses, and a pie dessert spread to round out the night of mingling, meeting, sipping and bidding. All proceeds raised from the event benefits Food Roots programs. We would love to have the show of support and opportunity to gather as a community to support our local food system! This six-week series will be a deep experiential dive into Shamanic Breathwork. The Shamanic Breathwork ceremony is a powerful and very individual experience.

Each week we will come together to learn about and experience the power of the breath to access non-ordinary states of consciousness where we can shift from ego agenda to awakening our soul’s wisdom.

The breath can take us to places where old wounds and dysfunctional patterns and narratives that no longer serve us can be released and transformed. Our breath can also transport us to realms where we experience profound love, peace and inspiration, and can recover lost soul parts and remember who we truly are.

Throughout this series the elements — water, earth, fire, spirit and air — will guide us along the path of change. Each element will help us explore a particular cycle of change.

In the Breathwork journey itself we will be lying down using circular breathing and chakra-attuned music to walk between the worlds. Following that, we integrate the experiences, messages and lessons using art-making and group sharing.

About Me:
I have been an RN since 2001 and have worked mainly in hospital settings in various departments. I’ve also been a Homeopathic practitioner, a yoga teacher, and have practiced Healing Touch and meditation.
I have been fascinated with health and healing and the mysteries of life ever since I can remember. I am dedicated to creating safer and sacred space for people to awaken their inner healer and shaman.
I have recently completed my training as a Shamanic Breathwork Facilitator through Venus Rising Association for Transformation.
