United Paws’ Kittens River & Grant

Submitted By: unitedpawshelp@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
United Paws’ Kittens River & Grant
Grant is a handsome tabby who sports a distinctive golden-and-brown bullseye coat. Grant comes running for attention when humans enter his orbit. He loves wrestling with his rescue buddy, River, and hasn’t met a toy he doesn’t like! Grant loves to compete with River for his foster’s love and attention. He even rolls over on his back so she can stroke his beautiful golden belly!
River has beautiful silver-grey stripes and entrancing bluish eyes that look like deep pools of celadon. When he wants to spend time with you, he’ll put his paws on your chest while moving in for kisses. River is interested in exploring new places and playing with other kittens and cats. He gets very excited when he learns about a new toy that grabs his attention, especially when his buddy Grant is interested in the same toy. These two kittens are buddies; they peacefully sleep together and play together. They would make a great pair to adopt but will also do fine individually.
A kind-hearted lady in a trailer park where Grant and River were born, was feeding about ten abandoned kittens and cats. She reached out to United Paws and volunteers rescued four of the kittens, including Grant and River. Now, Grant and River are ready for loving forever homes. Read more on United Paws’ website about kittens and cats available for adoption. Fill out an adoption application, get pre-approved for adoption, and we can arrange a “Meet & Greet” for you. For more adoption info, you can also email United Paws at unitedpawsapps@gmail.com or call United Paws at 503-842-5663.

Artists & Crafters Wanted

Submitted By: tolovanaartscolony@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hello BBQ- We’re seeking a few more artists and crafters to add to our Holiday Bazaar, coming the first two weekends in December.

In short: our nonprofit, the Tolovana Arts Colony, is preparing to run our 9th annual Holiday Bazaar in Cannon Beach.

Our event is a little different than the usual Holiday sales events–it’s more of a pop-up gallery. Rather than sitting behind your work at a table all day, you simply drop off your work, we handle all sales and pay you afterward.

There is no cost to exhibit, but the Arts Colony keeps 25% of sales; you keep 75%.

If you are a maker of arts, crafts, non-perishable/packaged foods, home goods, clothing or something else cool we haven’t even thought of, please email us at tolovanaartscolony@gmail.com (or call 541-215-4445) and let’s see if you’re a fit to add to this very successful bazaar.

*The fine print: as space is limited, we’re looking for styles of arts and crafts different to things than we already have. For example, if we have a shoe-maker already lined up, we not have room for another shoe-maker who creates a similar shoe style.

Tillamook County Giving Guide in mailboxes any day

Submitted By: barbaraandchuck@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
The 8th annual Tillamook County Giving Guide will be in all Tillamook County mail boxes any day now! (Got mine today!) Additional copies will be available at select locations and it will be online at the Tillamook County Pioneer.

The Guide features profiles of 40 Tillamook County organizations and information about 130 organizations providing services, resources and support that improve the quality of life for everyone in our community.

The Giving Guide is produced by Fulcrum Community Resources and the Tillamook County Pioneer to provide information and encouragement to support with your dollars and your time, these vitally important organizations.

On the cover this year is a photo by Gary Seelig of a double rainbow, a long time symbol of promise—a promise that our stalwart organizations that help so many people and our earthly home will continue to be strong and robust in the challenging times ahead. Your generosity is needed and appreciated more than ever! Each hour and dollar given is precious and important and brightens our rainbow of promise.

By making your year-end giving donations locally, you not only keep your money circulating here at home, you are adding your care, compassion and hope so our organizations can function powerfully. The time that you give volunteering adds another rich layer of care, compassion and hope.

Our organizations impact all aspects of our lives, from health and wellness, sustainability, environmental stewardship, conservation, food security, housing, universal access, women’s issues, children’s well-being, animal welfare, education, safety, disaster relief, community preparedness, and arts and culture. They create a strong, vibrant and resilient community. They collaborate and form partnerships which build a culture of efficiency, cooperation and communication. They provide jobs, a trained and inclusive workforce, volunteer opportunities, internships, and training. They give us opportunities to connect, heal, play and hope. And they need our support to continue to make a difference!

Thank you to all those who have donated, discovered and volunteered in past years.

And let’s all give what we can this year.
