Sweet brown Dog in pine ridge is Safe

Amazing Craig and wife Judy who crouching down had pooch coming to her into their truck .
they bought him to us in Manzanita .Tillamook K9 will pick him up in the morning.
Dog a Lab with some Vizla it seems. He met our 3 dogs and no problems at all . He sits, gives kisses and ohhh shakes the paw. a sweetheart.
Now the most frustrating fact is that in respect to the Police we are told to call the non emergency number so we do BUT this non emergency number AND the dispatch number consider Pine Ridge and Manzanita just 4 minutes away as DIFFERENT CONTINENTS . so they do not share & pass on information to each other . Despite our new Towers and 5Gs . so the couple who found pooch not hearing back from Dispatch we then called manzanita police the officer in duty said he never heard from the non emergency about a lost dog and so could do nothing to help Bam
Corinna and family

Worried for Oregon

PORTLAND NEEDED THE NATIONAL GUARD DESPERATELY IN 2020.

Portland does not need them now.

As such, Drumf is making Kotek look really, really good.

And that sucks.

In my view, she is handling this moment, which is actually just a CIA/Drumf marketing ploy (Epstein who?? GAZA City what??) very maturely and professionally, characteristics I feel compelled to point out, as American politics is awash with Drumfs and AOCs.

Not being a fan of Kotek, I’m wondering why Drumf’s team (CIA) has chosen to make her look good. VP for Gruesome Newsome maybe?

If Fox News commentator Pete, now Secretary of TREASONOUS WAR (look up the legal definition of treason), is planning to fight a WAR IN PORTLAND, he better bring a lot of Soros-funded agitators and treasonous J6 alum FBI traitors to have his ‘war’ with, cuz ain’t nothing happening at the Macadam Ave, small, detention facility.

Kotek, PPB and local ICE absolutely got the facility protests under control over the summer. There may be more arrests, but absence Soros/fed agitators, local ICE and PPB have it totally handled.

I drove the though the 50-foot WAR ZONE in my taxi. THERE WERE PROTESTORS!!!!!! THERE WAS ICE!!!!!!! THERE WAS PPB!!!!!! and it was all cool.

There was a military helicopter circling the small facility at about 1,500 feet, and that was not necessary at all, but it was provocative. Thanks Drumf and your new FOX NEWS commentator secretary of WAR, you are helping Oregon oh so much!!!!

EPSTEIN WHO???????

GAZA CITY WHAT????????

Pretty sure no arrests last night?

Glad I wasn’t in Gaza tho…

So if something flares up, look to Soros and the CIA.

That’s my take.

Reading from Close to Home: The Wonders of Nature Just Outside Your Door

Join us for a reading with conservation biologist and author, Thor Hanson, as he shares excerpts from his newest nonfiction book.

With the “the perfect mix of science and story” (Sy Montgomery), Thor opens the door to the nature that thrives in our yards, gardens, and parks as he inspires and shows how to retrain our eyes to reveal natural worlds of wonder.

WHICH IS TRUE?

Trump has said Portland is war-ravged zone and needs Federal troops.

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek responded, “There is no national security threat in Portland. Our communities are safe and calm. I ask Oregonians to stay calm and enjoy a beautiful fall day.”

We let the facts speak for themselves …

Multiple law enforcement personnel have been injured during the recent Portland ICE riots.

• Nearby residents have been assaulted

• 3 independent journalists have been assaulted.

• The nearby school has closed due to the riots.

• Police are unable to enforce open law breaking that is going on nightly.

• Residents nearby cannot open their windows because of both the tear gas used as riot control and also the large volume of smoke bombs used by protesters.

• Local shops are losing business as the riots damage windows and chase away customers.

• Anti-ICE Protesters shut down Portland Mayor’s recent public speech and forced him to leave the area. Free speech is being attacked in public.

• Law enforcement officials have had their names, addresses and family photos of family members posted online.

• Rioters zip-tied the ICE office doors and then tried to set fires upon the building.

A Tribute – Liberace and Liza Nov 1st at NCRD

What might have happened if Liberace and Liza Minelli had shared a stage? They didn’t, of course, but this wildly improbable and completely irresistible show imagines what it might have been like if they did. The SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE called it: “Surreal, yet oddly perfect!” Equal parts tribute, improv, and full-on fever dream, the show blends virtuosic piano playing, powerhouse vocals, and more sequins than is strictly necessary. The setlist swings rom Cabaret and Gershwin to hilarious re-imaginings of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. NCRD PERFORMING ARTS CENTER Saturday, November 1st, 7:00 p.m. Reserved seating $30, general admission $25, available at www.tickettomato.com/event/9671.

Competitive improvisational comedy! This is a hilarious production in which the audience suggests all the skits and the two teams take turns improvising.
ComedySportz (Portland) is part of an award-winning national network which had produced over 5,000 shows in Portland and won three world titles. A referee calls the action and calls penalties for anything off color, so its family friendly! DATE CHANGE: Take a Nature Break: Headwaters Hike & Picnic Social

Submitted By: lnct@nehalemtrust.org – Click to email about this post
We aren’t afraid of a little rain, but the forecast for next week is looking gorgeous! We’ve moved the date for our upcoming Headwaters Walk & Picnic Social to next Wednesday, October 8th. We hope you will still be able to join us.

Meet at 11:30AM at the South Neahkahnie Trailhead* for a walk down LNCT’s Headwater’s trail to our stewardship benches. Paper bag your lunch and enjoy a midday break outside with friends. The walk is ~2.5 miles round trip, with a gentle incline.

Note—the Headwaters trail is uneven and mildly steep in some areas. To access the Headwaters Trail, we will meet at the Neahkahnie Mountain South Trailhead parking lot and walk down from there. Plan to wear shoes with a decent tread and dress for the weather.

*To reach the South Neahkahnie Trailhead, drive north on highway 101 from Manzanita about 2 miles. Between mileposts 41 and 41, turn right on road 38555. Keep to the right up the dirt road until you reach a small parking lot and signage, about 1/2 mile.

TRASH COUTURE TAKES OVER WHEELER! COLLAGE YOUR MANNEQUIN THIS SATURDAY 10/4

Submitted By: info@heartofcartm.org – Click to email about this post
Matter Made Me: Collage Your Mannequin Art Workshop
Saturday, October 4th 4pm to 8pm
@ HeartWorks Studio | 395 Nehalem Blvd, Wheeler OR 97147

Take a blank mannequin torso, a table full of reclaimed materials, and your imagination; and turn it into a one-of-a-kind narrative sculpture. This workshop invites you to decorate, collage, and transform a salvaged mannequin, layering memory, meaning, and personal reflection. Our goal will be to use discards to spark stories about who we are, where we’ve been, and what worlds we can imagine.

Over four hours, you’ll be guided through a simple but powerful structure:

Framing the Why – We’ll begin with prompts and reflection on the role of discarded materials. What stories emerge when we build from what’s been set aside? If this mannequin could speak, what would it say about the world it comes from? Could these fragments become a personal story, a cultural memory, or a fantasy of what might be? Is this figure armor, adornment, dream, or warning?

The Build – You’ll collage, layer, and transform your mannequin with discarded fabric, sheet music, corks, buttons, wire, broken jewelry, and other salvaged materials. Facilitators will circulate with questions to help you explore: Are you rebuilding a self from rubble? Mapping a body out of memory? Giving form to a future being?

The Circle – We’ll close by sharing the figures and their stories: what they carry, what they reveal, and what surprised you along the way.

Expect costumes, shields, altars, or ghosts, or something that doesn’t yet have a name.

All materials provided.
No experience necessary—curiosity is the only skill you need.

Participants will have the option to feature and sell their finished work in a community pop-up exhibit at HeartWorks Studio following the workshop (dates TBD).

Torsos are limited!
Tickets available at www.heartofcartm.org/workshops
