Paranoia, the Destroyer

Submitted By: bigbeach1@gmx.com – Click to email about this post
Thanks to Kim for pointing out that Portland is NOT in a place in need of the National Guard, and Dave’s idea to respond with non-violence is 100% the way to go, in my view, and he clearly explained the law-enforcement mind-set in these types of situations.

Paranoia, the Destroyer: I’m not sure that folks watching Fox News’ four-year old footage of the Portland riots are paranoid, or just victims of Drumf’s and Fox News’ dishonest marketing campaign about the current state of Portland. Maybe the viewers’ response could be considered paranoia, idk.

In an earlier post, I suggested that Dawson Park in Portland could use the ONG. It was an offhand remark, and the truth is, without the power to arrest drug-dealers and users, and with a judiciary that mostly lets dealers and users go right back onto the streets after being arrested, the presence of the Guard for drug-interdiction would be pointless.

Drumf is trying to put on a reality show in Portland, as I see it. A distraction from the genocide currently taking place in Palestine, and all of the other anti-American stuff he is involved with. Bread and circus. Though that strategy may no longer be effective for the kings and queens, as bread is too expensive and the circus sucks.

I suppose the ONG could occupy the park, but then the dealers would simply move shop somewhere else. And for the good of the heavy drug users roaming Portland streets, we have to get them into jail (to get sober) if they won’t go to rehab on their own. Compulsory rehab is best in my view. Their minds and bodies are being utterly destroyed, and quite rapidly. They are out of control and dying, and they need our help. Allowing this to go on is the opposite of compassion.

I drove a 20-something heroin addict, actually a really nice and smart guy from Seattle, who came to live in his car in Portland, after he heard the city council had legalized all hard drugs. When a PPB officer found him passed out in the front seat, with his works clearly visible in the passenger seat, he was offered jail or ‘Diversion’. He chose the totally-failed 3.3 million-dollar ‘Diversion’ (sign a pledge, leave same day, no meaningful follow-up), like a few hundred others have over the last couple of years, then went right back to the streets. I dropped him at his car/home off upper Burnside. I am pretty sure not one person got sober from ‘Diversion’, 3.3 million dollars later. I think the failed program is ending, but I’m not sure.

After the legalization of fentanyl, meth and heroin, junkies from all over America came to Portland, to live unmolested in tents, to do the deadly, life-ruining hard-drugs, legally. That’s the form this particular ‘woke compassion’ takes. The hard-drugs are still all but legal in Portland. And this fentanyl is nothing that Portland or the rest of America has ever seen. It totally destroys people, and very rapidly. I have seen it all, and it is utterly sad and insane that we are allowing this. These folks need our help to get off the drugs, not our ‘help’ honoring their addiction.

An interesting aside, the junkie from Seattle also told me that as soon as the Portland City Council legalized hard drugs, the Mexican cartels got word and flooded the new market, Portland, with fentanyl, meth, and heroin. They walked right over the no-border, then hopped on The Hound, bound for Portland. And he said the Mexican dealers, to protect their bosses, would tell their clients that they were Columbians! Dude was like ‘uh uh! We know you’re Mexicans!’ (I thought that was funny!)

Two days ago, driving through downtown Portland, there were maybe 200 folks that looked and behaved exactly like zombies. Hunched over, as fentanyl destroys their bones and body structure, staring off into space, wandering around. Sometimes I see them slowly falling to the ground, in what I call the fentanyl crumble, or, going down for the fentanyl count. It takes about 15-seconds for them to hit the ground. Again, nothing I see that the ONG can do about that. It’s a legislative and judicial problem, not an executive problem.

LAW AND ORDER! screams Drumf, the guy who is now officially a mass-murderer, cheered on by Vance. These international criminals ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. They are blasphemous anti-American traitors. (Biden too) Drumf’s targeting of dozens of human beings on three Venezuelan ‘drug boats’ (are you sure?) is called EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING.

Where is Senate Intel Chief Ron Wyden on this????????

Drumf certainly does not believe in law and order for him and his billionaire friends. (Same for Biden, etc.) He pardoned Michael Milken for God’s sake! And what else was I remembering…another friend of his….wait, it’s in there somewhere…gosh things move so fast these days…who was it??? Oh yeah, I remember now…

EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEINEPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEINEPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN

LAW AND ORDER MY ASS!

And where are those JFK files, proving that Drumf’s legacy-CIA buddies murdered our democratically-elected president?

LAW AND ORDER MY ASS!

2020 in downtown Portland was absolutely an insurrection, far worse than J6. We needed the guard desperately then. Brown would NOT deploy them. Drumf DID NOT invoke Title 10 and deploy them. Again, it is my view that feds were the main instigators of violence in both cases, J6 and downtown Portland in 2020 (I drove through downtown everyday for work: it was a hell-scape).

Again, to the 200 ONG members coming to Portland, BEWARE OF A FALSE FLAG!!!!!! Don’t let Drumf/FBI/CIA turn you into victims!

Watch out for a Kent State moment too, as Kim pointed out. If I remember correctly it went like this: super tense protest on campus, but no violence. Then a car backfired, and someone in the guard thought it was gunfire, and started shooting the protestors. A simple car backfire was all it took for four college kids to die that day.

I am still very concerned that Drumf is up to something with this deployment. The town is just too quiet right now. The arrests over the past few days are normal for this kind of situation and the feds and PPB who are currently working at the site have it totally handled. But with Drumf’s escalation/distraction, that may not be the case for much longer.

If there is a false-flag planned by Drumf/FBI/CIA, the fed-agitators will not look like a Patriotic Farmer, as they costumed Ray Epps on January 6th, they will look like antifa.

Here is Epps, and there is a lot more info on him elsewhere:

rumble.com/v2494qy-tucker-carlson-ray-epps-admits-he-orchestrated-the-jan-6-riot.html?e9s=src_v1_s%2Csrc_v1_s_o&sci=9589ce18-13b3-4b5b-abb8-179d176e0205

Will COINTELPRO-type feds show up? Who knows, but as Kim’s Kent State observation shows, there needn’t be a false-flag event for a tragedy like Kent State to occur.

The link below is a deep dive on Epstein from Glenn Beck (yup, you heard that right!) interviewing the absolutely amazing Whitney Webb. I think it is incredibly important, as a nation, from a LAW AND ORDER standpoint, that we do not let this Epstein stuff disappear:

Federal Budget

Submitted By: keeks54@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Any federal budget deal that hands the Executive Branch a “blank check must be rejected. The Constitution makes it very clear: under Article I, Section 9, Clause 7, no money shall be drawn from the Treasury but in consequence of appropriations made by law. That means Congress—not the President—decides how taxpayer dollars are spent.

Recent events show why strict guardrails are essential. On August 29, 2025, the administration attempted to cancel $4.9 billion in foreign aid using a “pocket rescission.” The Government Accountability Office has repeatedly stated that pocket rescissions are illegal under the Impoundment Control Act, yet the maneuver was attempted anyway. Appropriated funds have repeatedly been withheld or delayed without approval, undermining the law and co-opting Congress’s authority.

This is not a partisan issue. The balance of power depends on Congress defending its constitutional rights and responsibilities. Urge your Members of Congress to demand provisions to:
• Block unlawful rescissions or withholding of funds already approved by Congress
• Require that any spending changes receive congressional approval and transparent reporting
• Prevent unchecked executive overreach that erodes the separation of powers.

A budget without safeguards is a blank check. Please help convince Congress to protect constitutionally designated role and reject any budget deal that undermines accountability and the rule of law.

Writing Your Own Obituary:
We promise you, you will likely regret it if you don’t 🙂

Facilitated by Kathie Hightower
Who better than you to write your own obituary?
And yes, it can be fun and enlightening and motivational. Kathie Hightower always read obituaries, “as an honoring.” Saddened by the many boring ones (likely fill-in-the-blanks at a funeral home), she enjoyed the fun ones that really shared the person’s story.
She had only written one, her moms, before Kathie’s husband Greg passed away in April. In writing his, and later seeing another friend’s and thinking (“Oh, I wish I’d included xxx.”:), she thought, “who will write mine?”
“I will,” she decided.
It’s not morbid; it’s practical and life-affirming.

Join us to get a good start on you own obituary (and for those planning a tombstone, tips on those as well.)

Kathie Hightower is a member of the Conscious Aging and Creating Community committee. She spent 25 years doing workshops around the world, on Conscious/Joyful Living. She used to teach obituary writing to women in their 20’s and 30’s to help them see whether or not they were living their lives the way they would want to have lived them…the way they would want to be remembered. This is a variation on the theme. Bring a pen and a journal or notebook paper.

Free – Antique chair

Got this chair from a neighbor thinking I would paint it with bright crazy flowers and use it in the studio loft. But I’ve just got too many projects. It has a water stain in the seat from a potted plant that sat on it for a spell but would probably scrub out.
Otherwise the upholstery is solid. The wood could use a polish as well. Original Metal wheels on the feet.

paranoia will destroy ya

I think enragement is a choice. If it feels harmful then it may be due to external manipulation, and an indication of bad information. So “nobody is just looking at kitten videos these days,” but too many are just looking at videos.

Video is an excellent medium for manipulating the viewer. One only need examine their own emotional responses to videos to recognize the problem. We should never trust information conveyed by video is anything but entertainment. Didn’t movie credits used to end with a disclaimer?

83 year old Ed knows that most people are approachable and reasonable. But I think confronting others with rage is setting up interaction for failure and potential violence. Law enforcement and the military are trained to take command and control, so we should expect to give that up to them or face consequences. The current administration wants (needs) to have news video of those consequences to support their narrative and further violate constitutional checks and balances.

So I think we should be like Ed, probably warm and sincere, polite and respectful, since that will be the best way to realize our shared goals. That’s not giving up, it’s being smart and strategic.

United Paws’ Cat of the Week: Meet Mr. Cream Puff

Meet Mr. Cream Puff, United Paws’ Cat of the Week. Mr. Cream Puff is a handsome orange tabby with a huge head and cheeks, and a heart full of love to match. His deep yellow eyes reflect his calm and gentle temperament. This sweet boy had been abandoned and was lonely and starving when a United Paws volunteer found him. Clearly a domesticated cat, used to a family, he figured out how to manage on his own until some kind humans stepped up to help. Once United Paws’ fosters provided safety, food and lots of loving care, Mr. Cream Puff began to thrive.

Now, this friendly and curious fellow wants to be a part of everything going on in the household and he loves to hang out with his humans. Mr. Cream Puff loves attention and especially loves to have his magnificent jowls rubbed and scratched. Mr. Cream Puff has a laid-back personality and his foster describes him as “the perfect gentleman.” In addition, he is a good eater and always uses the litter box.

Mr. Cream Puff is a sweet cat who had a rough time, managed to survive after being abandoned, and longs to be in a safe and loving home. He would do well in a home where he can be with people and get the attention he longs for. Mr. Cream Puff will reward you with loud purrs, plenty of love, loyalty, and constant devotion.

He is healthy, happy and is ready for his forever home family. To learn more you can visit unitedpaws.org or call 503-842-5663.

The Kinks Were Right–Paranoia Will Destroy Ya!
by loretta.kim.rosenberg@gmail.com

“Everybody that I know who doesn’t live in Portland is convinced we burned it to the ground in 2020. That it’s some sort of nightmarish hellscape that looks like Mad Max, only with rain.” PSU Associate Professor of Sociology and expert on policing Aaron Rousell from Street Roots August 21, 2024.

Portland is not on fire. Portland is not war torn. Portland is a big city with all the problems a big city has—homelessness, drugs, crime. I was born and lived there or near enough for most of my life. Before NW 23rd was fancy and a one bedroom apartment near Good Sam cost $225 a month, you could work a regular job and live a regular life. There were still plenty of drugs around just different ones and way more violent crime than there is now. The crime rate has actually been steadily falling in Portland since 2020 so what’s the emergency that necessitates sending National Guard troops to American cities like Portland?

According to the Constitution there are only certain instances when a president is supposed to use the National Guard to police a city and none of these conditions exist in the cities where troops are being sent. There’s a good explanation of when, how and why a president can use the National Guard in a 2/28/2025 Substack article by Cyrus Javadi. It was reposted on the Pioneer’s website.

The ICE facility is on one block in the city of Portland. So the Guard is being deployed to protect one block and it’s estimated to cost $3.8 million dollars, which doesn’t count food and lodging.

Your technology knows what you like to read and what gets you clicking. The more we click the worse we usually feel because nobody is just looking at kitten videos these days. We’re a fearful bunch. We love us some bad news and a good conspiracy theory that reenforces whatever our beliefs are, so if you have a deep seated fear of people who are not like you, your technology will give you more of the same to feed that fear. If you believe Democrats or Republicans are the Antichrist or the Antifa you’ll get all the clickbait on the interwebs to keep you busy believing. The people with the power know that. They know that division serves them. They use fear as a tool and a distraction. Now that AI can replicate reality and there are few adults in the room to call a lie a lie, people are struggling to figure what’s real and what’s not.

I have a lot of friends in Portland and one of them is Ed, a retired attorney who happens to live near enough to the ICE facility in Portland’s south Waterfront to walk there on his 83 year old legs. He’s made it a practice to stop by and talk with the people protesting for the past three months. He’s not afraid and nothing bad has happened to him. It’s usually a group of about 30 people although it can be more. The other residents he’s talked with are more concerned about federal agents and National Guard troops encouraged to use “full force” than they are about the citizens protesting, as well they should be. Because when emotions are running hot and the people charged with community policing are not community police, bad things can and do happen.

Here’s an example. On May 4, 1970, the governor of Ohio called in the National Guard to intervene at Kent State where students were protesting the US invasion of Cambodia. When students didn’t disperse, Guardsmen advanced and opened fire on unarmed students killing 4 in a matter of thirteen seconds.

There are real things to be afraid of right now—hospitals closing, safety net programs shut down, masked ICE agents detaining undocumented people without criminal records, deportation to third countries without due process, domestic military action by a Department of War, the chilling of free speech. I could go on but you get the idea.

I can’t remember where I read this or who said it but it struck a chord for me—America is the home of the brave and the land of the free and sometimes you have to be brave to be free.
