Event #1: Nehalem Community Protest

Time: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Location: Nehalem (gather across from the coffee shop)

Let’s unite as the North County Resistance for a peaceful, informative, and constructive gathering. Even if there’s a little rain, don’t let that stop you—we promise you won’t melt! Bring your own beverage or grab a coffee across the street. We’re also collecting donations for the Food Bank to help our neighbors in need. Your participation can make a real difference in our community!

Event #2: “NO KINGS” National Protest

Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025

Location: Manzanita

This is our biggest protest of the year, and we’re joining 2,456 locations across the United States—over 1.5 million people are already registered! Rain or shine, we’ll stand together against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. There’s no coffee shop nearby for this one, so be sure to bring your own drinks and anything you’d like to share with fellow citizens.

Brokering the ways of treason and
intimate violence, you now bring war
to our streets. The enduring dream
of community and country based on
realizing equality, precious and fragile,
is being lost. Behind a flag, a bible,
a train of endless lies, all your words
lift nothing and bring disgrace. Each
slight of hand and grifting distraction
invites hate and it is so easy to turn away
from taking responsibility. No goodness
can abide in deceit. We understand
what is better than this. For generations
our citizens have offered goodwill
and carried the decency to follow the law.
In this historic struggle, we will resist, hold
the line, find a way to take back the power
and voice of the common good. When justice
calls, and justice will call, your privilege
will be denied, a stronger scaffold will rise.
Behind bars you can heal what is broken
or go down failing in your own mad bunker.
As this timeless dream returns, we the people
will open the golden door.
