Repair Cafe White Clover Grange THIS SATURDAY July 20 3-5 with special event
Heart of Cartm, a North Coast non-profit, hosts a monthly Repair Cafe that isn’t just about fixing broken items; it’s also about sharing knowledge and skills. For the July Repair Cafe, Hear of Cartm has teamed up with White Clover Grange in Nehalem to bring you a truly special event!
In addition to repairing your beloved items this July, we will also be dismantling a beautiful, but un-repairable antique piano to reimagine its parts. Martha Taylor will be leading this activity. She will have wonderful stories to share about her career as a piano repair person in Oregon and will be available to answer all your piano questions. Put this one of a kind experience on your calendar!!

Meal train request for family with new baby
Marlo means “drop of the sea.” Belvedere derives from two Italian words: bel, which means “beautiful,” and vedere, which means “view.” It’s also a gorgeous town in CA and a reminder that her parents met in the Bay Area.
Thanks so much to Brianna Rivers for setting up a July meal train for us: www.mealtrain.com/trains/wlg4nq (Venmo option: @ kate-romanov). Thanks to anyone who contributes.
Sending lots of love from the North Oregon Coast!

Friends of NCRD Flowers for Sale
Over the years, Friends of NCRD has been able to provide $14,000 for scholarships-about half of which go to the Youth Department at NCRD. Studies have shown kids who attend preschool or after school programs are ahead of the game in academics and social skills. Friends want to do the best we can with our younger generations as they will be taking care of us someday. By supporting our flower sales, we are supporting our kids, who in turn will be supporting us. Thanks!

LG Double Wall Oven Combo still in the box
This item is brand new, still in the box.
Stainless Steel. We recently remodeled our kitchen. This oven won’t fit where we originally intended to install it. Had to redesign the kitchen but had already purchased from a store on the east coast. We would have had to pay restocking fees and shipping. Lesson learned….

FOR LOVE OF FRIENDS
For love of Friends of NCRD, our North County Community has been extraordinarily generous with donations and fundraising this past year (July 2023 – June 2024). With love for our Community’s families, Friends has met its Mission to support NCRD programs and provide scholarships to encourage inclusion for all.
More than $14,000 in scholarships – with over half going to the Youth Department – have been given to NCRD families. Summer months are when our Youth Department and Youth Sports Program have the highest needs, and we expect an increase in scholarship needs in the Fall. With gratitude and appreciation for our many dedicated volunteers, Friends of NCRD is now reaching out to the community in another way.
As we start the new fiscal year, Friends of NCRD is calling on community members to fill Board positions. We need several dedicated Board members to help guide our Mission. For love of NCRD and Friends’ Mission, IS THAT YOU?
If you’d like to be considered for a Board position, please contact Gail:
