Week or so but like a knucklehead totally forgot to put the price. I’m helping a gal pal move these to a new home since she got new wheels for her truck and these are still good wheels.
The tires have some use left on them. But the value is in the fancy wheels themselves.

In Search of a Rental Between Manzanita and Rockaway

Submitted By: jubileesiusfoster@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hey everyone! Me, my fiancé and our one year old son are looking for a one to two bedroom house between Manzanita and Rockaway. We have a super well behaved 4 year old cat as well so it has to be pet friendly. I work in Manzanita and he works in Wheeler and the drive from Tillamook to our jobs multiple times a day is starting to take a toll on our car. We both grew up in Nehalem and we wanted our son to be able to as well. Our budget is around $1500 a month. I know how bad the housing crisis is at the moment especially with the prices of everything going up but I’m keeping my hopes up that we can find something soon!

Resolve Mole/vole problems

Moles were tearing up my lawn and flower beds. I purchased multiple products but none of them worked and the problem was getting worse. Jason at Thompson Trapping LLC came twice and was able to completely get rid of the moles and they have not returned. I am posting because I am so grateful to have this problem solved. He responds best to texts at 1-805-503-3188.

Manzanita legal bills – two sides to the story

Submitted By: bill.brayman@icloud.com – Click to email about this post
Several people have complained that an outspoken Manzanita citizen has cost the city a lot of money for legal fees. One person stated that the legal bills amounted to 15 thousand dollars.

“We can now put a beginning price to one citizen’s ego. It’s unfortunate that we as Manzanita residents have to pay the price …”

But what they don’t explain is the reason for challenging the city. The reason is that the outspoken person is questioning the city’s water billing and budgeting practices. He wants the city to lower residential water bills. He is on the side of the Manzanita water customer.

One issue the citizen raises is the contention that the city gains a couple hundred thousand dollars from the water system fund. Another issue the citizen has raised is that the city changed to monthly water billing in order to increase revenue from residential water bills.

So, even though the city may have to pay 15 thousand in legal bills, the flip side of that argument is that the city may stand to gain 20 times that, perhaps nearly a quarter million dollars from the water fund, at the cost of residents having to pay more on their water bills.

We Manzanita water customers may not have all the facts. But a case can be made that the city can do better about lowering our water bills. So, it is not clear at all that the issue is “one citizen’s ego”. And promoting such a one-sided argument does a disservice to Manzanita water customers.

Manzanita city seems to be run pretty well, even excellent perhaps. But there are always ways to improve things. That should be our goal.

Ford Explorer XLT for Sale

Submitted By: nmld244@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
2003 Ford Explorer XLT. 194,000 mi. 4wd. Reliable vehicle. Clean title. $2,500 OBO.

I am not using this car enough to justify keeping it. Besides basic maintenance, I have had to spend very little on upkeep over the last 8 years. It’s been an amazing all-purpose vehicle. Seven seats. All back seats fold down for good storage and camping compatibility.

Mechanical notes:

1. I recently took to the mechanic because there was a buzzing sound when making right turns. They replaced the front right wheel bearing. The buzzing sound is better, but still present (especially when you get up to 50+ mph). They suggested I do the other wheel bearing and replace some of the suspension in the front eventually, but that it was currently safe to drive. They also found a small oil leak above the right front tire, but doesn’t seem to be losing much oil as of now (I have been checking daily), just something to keep an eye on.

2. The tires will need to be replaced and it is overdue for an alignment.

3. I only have one key and fob set.

4. It has a faulty emergency break light on the dash that turns on and there’s a broken O2 sensor that turns on the check engine light (I have bought a code reader that hooks up to my phone so I can periodically check it, would recommend.

Let me know if you want more pictures/have any questions!

Cheers,
Nate
