Come see Willy Wonka Jr. this Weekend!!!

Submitted By: lesleyanctil@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Come see local kids from Tillamook and Clatsop counties perform Willy Wonka Jr. at the Coaster Theatre this weekend! There will be singing, dancing and plenty of Oompa Loompas!!

Performances are on May 2nd and 3rd at 7:30 and May 4th at 3:00pm.

The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth.

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.

Save and Share Precious Memories – Digitise

Hi BBQ land. My name is Drew and I convert 8mm and VHS tapes and DVD’s into digital files you can view on your phones/computers and share on your social media platforms. Saving these old tapes and discs is so important because our kid’s kids need to know and honor the people and places they came from. It is an easy, affordable and local process. Glad to answer any questions. Cheers, Drew.

DEPORTATIONS BY PRESIDENT

Deportations by President
The history of deportations in the United States reveals significant shifts in immigration policy and enforcement across different presidential administrations. We’ll compare how long each President was in office, the total number of deportations during their time, and the average number of removals per year. By looking at these numbers, we can see how different Presidents handled immigration and deportation.
The analysis shows how changes in the country, new laws, and each President’s priorities have shaped these policies. From the Civil Rights era under President Lyndon B. Johnson to the more recent policies during President Biden’s time, this comparison helps us understand how each leader approached immigration. Whether focused on safety, the economy, or human rights, each administration’s deportation policies tell us a lot about the ongoing debate over immigration in America. Information on removal rates comes from the Department of Homeland Security.
here is the link to the article:
living.alot.com/entertainment/45-weirdest-presidential-facts–17063?s=11&isLong=0&isVertical=1

note: these presidents are not in order by date but the order is the number of deported. Obama deported most illegals by a very large number. Also true, he was responsible for cages for kids.

PROTEST CHANGE -TIME AND PLACE

PROTEST CHANGE-TIME AND PLACE

Thank you all for showing up in Nehalem this past Saturday. You are a good group, and we’d love to see you again. We’d also love to see you with twenty of your best Friends.

We will be meeting this coming Thursday, May 1, Mayday, for our next PROTEST. This PROTEST will take place from 4:30-6:30 PM and will coincide with hundreds of other PROTESTS held around this USA. You may not see them, but there will be thousands of people out protesting at the same time you are. The place will be back in Manzanita where Laneda and Manzanita Avenues run into Highway 101.

Dress in layers. The forecast is for sun, but in Nehalem we had a chilly wind blowing. Hat, gloves, scarf, and again layers to keep you comfortable. Bring water, a sign, and of course, if you are able, a can of food for the North Tillamook County Food Bank.

The cutting of government funds has affected many local programs. A critical program in our area is the North Tillamook County Food Bank (NTCFB) located in Wheeler. We are asking you to donate what you can to this organization. The location of the NTCFB is 278 Rowe Street-which is across from the Nehalem Bay Health Center. The building is only open when food is distributed and that is at noon on Tuesdays. You can donate in three ways. Go to their website, www.northtillamookcountyfoodbank.org and press the “donate” button to donate online. You can send a check to NTCFB, PO Box 162, Wheeler, Oregon, 97147. Or you can go to the NTCFB on Tuesday to deliver food at that time. A monthly donation they can count on would be a real bonus. The NTCFB has a message phone, 503-368-7724. Thank you for considering adding them to your giving list. We will have collection boxes for canned foods at all our PROTEST locations.

A reminder of our PROTEST will be sent out later this week.

Need 2 strong guys to move some furniture

Submitted By: erikahalperin@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
We need two strong men to load a few pieces of furniture into a trailer on Sunday May 4th (a couple armchairs, an outdoor dining set, and a wood bookcase). This is in Manzanita. Total job should take no more than one hour.

The outdoor dining table is the heaviest item at 120 pounds, but there is some tight maneuvering around a corner and down a single flight of stairs.

We would prefer to hire two guys together rather than arrange this separately with one person at a time.

If interested, please contact me via text or call to 503-560-8994 and let me know what your hourly rate is for two guys.

Again this is for Sunday May 4th, mid to late morning in Manzanita.

Thank you!
