The other day I was going through the process of checking my voter registration, just so that I could easily explain it to others. To my surprise, I discovered that I was not registered.
Because I knew that Oregon identifies and adds eligible Oregonians to the rolls electronically, without the need for additional action by the voter, using information the DMV already has on file, I assumed that, when I registered my name change with the DMV, I was all set. I was wrong , and I’m glad I checked!
