Having “borrowed” the idea from EVCNB, Cannon Beach is having our first ever Emergency Chef Challenge, coming up September 10th from 5 to 7pm. Help us make this a successful event that we will want to continue in future years. You experienced Manzanita and Nehalem folks come and provide constructive criticism so we can learn from your experience. This event is hosted by the Cannon Beach emergency preparedness volunteers (CERT, DART, & MRC) and is expected to be a fun and entertaining evening. In the style of an Iron Chef competition, our two trained chefs will see who can prepare the most delicious, nutritious, and appealing food using only shelf stable foods . . . and without heat or water.
