Whew, what a busy market last week! Thanks to everyone who came out before the holiday weekend: we had over 500 people waiting to get in at 4:00, and at least a thousand more showed up over the next hour, with over 2500 shoppers passing through by the end of the day. I expect another busy Friday this week, but things should be a little calmer after the 4th!

Remember, the second half of market is always less crowded, but with all the same great vendors and music. A few things are usually sold out, but there’s still loads of goodies to be had, without the lines! This week’s music is by Rhythm Method, bringing percussion heavy, African inspired beats to help you dance your way through market.

It’s full on fruit season now, and this week we welcome back long time Manzanita Farmers Market vendor Baird Family Orchards. They say that their customer favorite Sweet Sue peaches are coming into full ripeness, and they’ll have cherries, peaches, and more. Fulton Farms is also hitting full production, last week in addition to all the corn and cherries and pluots and apricots they had the first corn of the season. My favorite market prize last week were the raspberries from A&B farm, holy mole are they delicious. Mountains to Rivers Ranch had beautiful blueberries and cherries grown right here in north county. Tis the season!

See you this Friday from 4-7 at Underhill Plaza, 635 Manzanita Ave.
