The Cannon Beach Library’s Annual Fourth of July Book Sale, one of the library’s largest fundraisers, returns this Independence Day weekend. The four-day sale will take place Thursday, July 2 through Sunday, July 5, at the Cannon Beach Library, 131 N. Hemlock Street in the heart of downtown Cannon Beach.
Sale hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Sunday, don’t miss the popular $8 fill-a-bag sale (bags provided).
Book lovers, casual readers, and resellers will find thousands of gently used books at bargain prices. Categories include fiction, nonfiction, mysteries, classics, contemporary bestsellers, cookbooks, gardening, travel, self-help, children’s books, young adult titles, audiobooks, and a selection of rare and collectible books. Shoppers can also browse DVDs, music CDs, and vinyl records.
The Fourth of July Book Sale is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a community tradition that brings together residents and visitors who share a love of reading. Every purchase during the sale directly supports our nonprofit library, helping fund resources, programs, and services for both children and adults.
The library is also seeking volunteers to help staff the sale. More than 120 volunteer shifts are available throughout the weekend. Click here to view available shift.
Please note that the library will be closed for regular services July 1–5. Materials may still be returned using the library’s exterior book drop.
