To our community theater family and friends,
As the curtain closed on our production of THE ODD COUPLE, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this remarkable run possible.
To our cast: thank you for your talent, dedication, and willingness to trust the process. From the first read-through to the final curtain call, you brought Neil Simon’s beloved characters to life with energy, humor, and heart. Every rehearsal, every note, every adjustment contributed to a production that entertained audiences and made us all proud. Watching this cast grow together and embrace these characters has been one of the great joys of directing this show.
To our crew, designers, stage managers, board members, volunteers, front-of-house team, and everyone working behind the scenes: thank you for the countless hours that often go unseen.
Community theater succeeds because of people who quietly and generously give their time, talent, and effort. Your work created the foundation that allowed this production to shine.
To our audiences: thank you for filling the theater, sharing your laughter, and supporting live community theater. There is nothing quite like hearing a packed house respond to a performance. Your presence reminds us why we do this. Every ticket purchased, every standing ovation, every kind word in the lobby helps ensure that community theater continues to thrive here on the North Coast.
And to our broader community, sponsors, donors, and supporters: thank you for believing in Riverbend Players. Your encouragement, generosity, and commitment to the arts allow us to create opportunities for local performers, technicians, volunteers, and audiences to come together through the shared experience of live theater.
THE ODD COUPLE is a story about friendship, acceptance, and learning to appreciate the differences that make each of us unique. In many ways, that’s what community theater is all about. We bring together people from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives and, through collaboration, create something far greater than any one person could accomplish alone.
As President of Riverbend Players and Director of this production, I could not be prouder of what we achieved together. Thank you for making THE ODD COUPLE such a memorable success.
We look forward to seeing you at the theater this fall for DRACULA: The Radio Play and this December for our first-ever holiday musical, WINTER WONDERETTES.
With gratitude,
Frank Squillo
