Founded in 1964, the Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest is Oregon’s oldest sandcastle contest. Join us on Saturday, June 20, 2026, as the tradition continues for the 62nd Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest from 9:00am-3:00pm. Watch incredible sandy creations come to life before the evening tide washes them away. The contest happens rain or shine, so come prepared for coastal weather.
Beach Parking: Beach parking for the 62nd Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest opens at 8:30am on June 20th. Access the beach from Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site. Parking is free, with ADA parking available closer to the contest site.
Later that night, join us for our annual Concert & Bonfire from 7-10pm. Grab your beach chairs and meet us on the beach off 2nd Street and enjoy live music by CJ & the Wild Tides and complimentary s’mores courtesy of Cannon Beach Bakery.
