Do we really need deceptive rhetoric leading us down a rabbit hole? The singular reason for distrust of vote by mail is Trump’s ruse, which he instigated years ago for his own selfish corrupt purposes. The political landscape over the past decade is full of evidence that he is doing this on purpose. Nobody should still be falling for it, but somehow his con is so effective that many still do.
The old saying “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” comes to mind. Here we have been fooled countless times. This should be embarassing if it weren’t so serious.
Claims in a ruse are made up, so debating them is useless, instead providing a kind of legitimacy to the ruse. Many of us are eager to voice opinions. In this case let it be that we are sick and tired of being played for fools.
