Mission Statement: To preserve land and nurture conservation values in partnership with an engaged community in the Nehalem region of the Oregon Coast.
One paragraph about your organization’s history/work:
The Lower Nehalem Community Trust is a community supported nonprofit dedicated to the protection and restoration of natural lands in the Nehalem Bay region of the North Coast. Founded in 2002, LNCT holds over 300 acres in conservation with the help of skilled staff, an energetic board, and many dedicated volunteers. Shared values guide our three focus areas: conservation, community, and education. Our stewardship volunteers assist in the monitoring and restoration work of our properties. In addition to providing volunteers with nutritious food, our Community Garden program supplies fresh organic produce to families served by the North County Food Bank, Nehalem Bay Community Services and Nehalem Bay Health Center outreach programs. We strive to engage our community through workshops, field trips, and public education opportunities—nurturing a deeper shared sense of care for this place we all call home.
