Mission statement: to grow a robust and equitable food system in Tillamook County through community engagement, education, food producer support, and improved access to local food.

Food Roots’ vision of a robust and equitable food system is one in which everyone in Tillamook County eats fresh, nutritional local food every day. Founded in 2006, Food Roots’ core programs include Farm and Food Business Support, Local Food Equity, and Farm to School Education. We work to achieve our vision by linking our core programs together in projects that meet your needs and expand our local food ecosystem. We provide resources and guidance to farm and food business entrepreneurs, and establish procurement relationships. We also purchase foods from local farmers and deliver them to neighbors in our community who are experiencing food insecurity. With the help of volunteers and in partnership with local schools and their wonderfully engaged students, we grow gardens and donate the bounty of produce to free food programs. Our efforts are a multi-faceted approach that increases well-being, learning, and connection, resulting in a healthy community rooted and invested in a mutually beneficial relationship with their local food suppliers and neighbors.

Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS works to sustain the Netarts Bay area through education and stewardship. Through grant funding and private donations, WEBS offers a suite of youth programs, free workshops for the general public, stewardship programs, and community science opportunities.

The Friends of Pacific City State Airport is a group of people committed to supporting a State-owned, coastal public airport in Pacific City Oregon. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization made up of local citizens, Pacific Northwest pilots, and aviation advocates. The nonprofit coordinates volunteer and fundraising efforts to maintain and improve the public airport, offers youth aviator scholarships, and provides educational opportunities for youth and adults who want to learn more about aviation.
