MEET THE CAST: LINDA MAKOHON and JEFF LAING
Linda Makohon: Linda has been part of Riverbend Players for 14 years and serves on the board. She has watched it grow from Jane Knapp’s senior activity group to a nonprofit offering four plays per season. Riverbend provides drama workshops and youth scholarships, and shares proceeds with NCRD for theater upgrades while continually expanding its presence in the coastal theater community.
Jeff Laing: Jeff, a retired product design software instructor, splits his time between Hillsboro and Nehalem with his wife, Lisa, and their spirited little dog, Ingo. Proud parents of three and grandparents of four, they love exploring PNW wineries, camping, hiking, and traveling. When not outdoors, Jeff is likely lost in music or tackling projects around the house.
THE HOLIDAY CHANNEL CHRISTMAS MOVIE WONDERTHON, by Don Zolidis and directed by Frank Squillo, is a hilarious spoof of the Hallmark and Lifetime Channel Christmas movies.
Set in a cozy Vermont inn during Christmas time, the play follows six predictable, intertwined love stories filled with small-town charm, romantic misunderstandings, and holiday magic.
THE HOLIDAY CHANNEL CHRISTMAS MOVIE WONDERTHON comically embraces every cliché, trope, and heartwarming twist of these beloved holiday movies.
Friday and Saturday nights at 7 pm, Sunday matinees at 2 pm.
