One of today’s opinions in The Guardian dovetails nicely with my post yesterday. It is professionally written and I think well worth reading. As national guard troups will now be unleashed into Portland, I think we should be proud our non-violent protests are working. One sign I saw correctly pointed out it is the feds who are inciting violence (the administration needs it). Taking the bait will only reduce our protest power and effectiveness. Don’t do it. One issue I have with this opinion piece is how it throws around the word hate. That’s not okay. It’s part of what we’re protesting, but we aren’t hateful. -Dave
