I’ll be teaching a painting class intensive in October… 4 classes in two weeks. Topics will include composition, drawing, color, tone/value, edges, brushwork and palette knife work. The building blocks of a successful painting!
I’ll be using oils and demonstrating in that medium. If you prefer, you can use acrylics or gouache. Each class will have a short lecture to start and then you’ll put those principles into action as you work on your individual painting. Some art history will also be part of the class, as I focus on a particular artist that was a master of our ‘topic of the day’.
The class will be in Garibaldi Oregon. We’ll meet October 14, 16, 21 & 23… Each Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. It will be a very small class so lots of time for individual attention.
All levels are welcome. I’m offering two ways to take the class. If you have all your own painting supplies, the cost will be $120 for the entire session. OR, I can provide all oil painting supplies you’ll need and you just bring brushes (and a palette knife if you’d like) for $160 for the session. Tables and chairs are provided, stand if you prefer.
The class has limited spaces. I’m asking for a 50% deposit to secure your spot. The deposit of $60 or $80 (including supplies) can be made via card, check or cash.
