Based on recent data compiled from AAA and other sources, the following 19 states currently report average regular gasoline prices under $3.00 per gallon:
• Alabama – $2.81/gallon 
• Arkansas – $2.79 
• Georgia – $2.91 
• Iowa – $2.91 
• Kansas – $2.87 
• Kentucky – $2.84 
• Louisiana – $2.80 
• Mississippi – $2.72 (the lowest in the nation)  
• Missouri – $2.86 
• New Mexico – $2.84 
• North Carolina – $2.91 
• North Dakota – $2.91 
• Oklahoma – $2.77  
• South Carolina – $2.83 
• Tennessee – $2.77  
• Ohio – $2.98 
• Nebraska – $3.01 (slightly above $3, included here for context) 
• Texas – $2.77
