“The Genocide Convention of 1948 makes it a crime to conspire to commit genocide, to be complicit in genocide, to attempt genocide. All of these things are crimes. All of these things are to commit the worst possible crime.
“When the President of the United States has spoken of acting to end an entire civilization, anyone who’s been around that conversation, anyone who is taking part in implementing something having to do with that conversation, anyone who is hiding an action directed to that conversation; you may be involved in committing what we as modern people have defined as the worst of all crimes.
“And so we too must speak. Not only about crimes, but about their legal punishment.”
