Join the Lower Nehalem Community Trust this Stewardship Friday from 10:00-12:00 to help open the tiny ‘purple’ forest to all species. Meet at Alder Creek Farm in Nehalem at 10:00. We’ll provide tools. Waterproof footwear is recommended.
These enclosures were installed over a decade ago to protect young trees and shrubs from foraging deer, elk and other neighbors. Now we need your help to remove them! The tiny forests within them have now grown enough to be exposed to wildlife and opened to the larger ecosystem.
