If you are an older crowd, I am sure you are familiar with the Equal Rights Amendment. 80% of Americans according to polling think that the ERA is already part of our constitution due to it meeting all requirements of the amendment process, but it isn’t. If you paid attention, Biden in his last days “declared” the ERA valid, yet several court cases in the last year have shown that the ERA is still not recognized in the courts, despite it legally meeting all amendment requirements.
I highly recommend everyone to tune into the segment at 10 AM, March 8th, titled “Think Women Have Equal Rights, Think Again” to learn the fascinating 100+ year history of the ERA, the legal issues behind it, and a current upcoming case to argue the validity of it being the 28th amendment, all told by the women’s rights impact litigator who brought on the case and have led several against the White House in past years.
Even if you don’t think women have anything to worry about, I highly recommend listening to educate yourself about the history of women’s relationship under the law since the dawn of our nation. Very engaging discussion, don’t miss it!
