THE WORST VOTER ROLES IN THE COUNTRY. — and I live here and I don’t like that – because I believe in Democracy and that aint it!
The current president is asking for some states to turnover their voter roles. The current president has the right to do this. Tobias Reid, Sec. of State says – I will not turn Oregonians personal sensitive information over to the government. BUT WAIT! Just exactly what is the personal sensitive data that you put on the form to register to vote?
There is a legal definition for personal sensitive information and here it is:
In Oregon, under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA), “sensitive data” broadly includes personal data revealing racial/ethnic origin, national origin, religious beliefs, mental/physical health, sexual orientation, transgender/non-binary status, victim status, citizenship/immigration status, genetic/biometric info, and a child’s data (under 13), plus precise location data, requiring explicit consent for processing. This definition offers enhanced protections beyond many other state laws, covering more vulnerable groups.
Is this information required on the form you filled out to register to vote? NOPE – so umm Just what is Secretary Reid talking about? Here is the info required on the voter form: ARE YOU A CITIZEN? ARE YOU 16 YEARS OF AGE? NAME – ADDRESS – DATE OF BIRTH –
COUNTY – PHONE – E-MAIL
MAILING ADRESS – DRIVERS LICENSE – POLITICAL PARTY – Thats all folks. That is all! No sensitive personal information requested to register to vote!
Oregon’s Secretary of State will only send REDACTED voter rolls for the request!. What could be redacted? I would like to see my voter role information – what could be on there that needs to be redacted? I see in my minds eye, a television personality on the nightly news – holding up a large handful of papers that are totally blacked out – like Epsteins List papers, and saying “and these are Oregon’s voter roles……..
