Let’s highlight our LOCAL AUTHORS who will be joining us at the Cannon Beach Library on Saturday, September 27th from 3-5 p.m. Meet local published authors, get signed books, explore new genres! Kerry Blaisdell writes fun and exciting paranormal mysteries in her bestselling “Dead Series.” Zoe Bossiere wrote a powerful memoir “Cactus Country” about their coming-of-age experience as a trans person. Marc C Johnson is an author and historian who writes about historical political figures in books like, “Mansfield and Dirksen; Bipartisan Giants of the Senate.” RJ Marx is an editor and author of “Seaside Rock N’ Roll Riots,” about the tumultuous decades of Seaside’s past. Marianne Monson is the President of the Astoria Writer’s Guild and writes about lesser-known trailblazing pioneer women, including “Opera Sisters,” about 2 sisters who saved Jewish refugees during WWII. Konrad Nau is a Cannon Beach Local and retired physician who wrote “I Rode a Bike for 50 years,” a laugh-out-loud memoir about his experiences riding a bike cross-country in the 1970s. Jennifer Nightengale is a poet and YA author whose book “Alberta and the Spark” is a coming-of-age story about a young girl in the Pacific Northwest. Robert Michael Pyle is a lepidopterist and PHD who writes about Biology and Natural History, including Audubon guides and “Butterflies of the Pacific Northwest.” Florence Sage is a poet and writer with many compilations, including the recently published “What to do With the Night.” Brittany Sweet is a children’s picture book author who writes stories to help children navigate the world, including “Bye Bye Buoy” and “I’ll Carry You Forever.” Evan Morgan Williams writes fiction compilations like “Stories of the New West,” and was a 2024 Literary Arts Fellow. David H Wilson writes historical nonfiction and was an Oregon Book Award finalist for “Northern Paiutes of the Malheur,” about the Bannack War and destruction of the Paiute people’s culture, land, and way of life.
