Salmonberry Trail is Coming to Wheeler!
The building process has officially begun—be part of history in the making! Join our volunteer group as we build the very first Coastal section of the Salmonberry Trail right here in Wheeler.
This month, our trail team is hard at work creating a path alongside the rails and constructing a demonstration Rails AND Trails section.
As the saying goes, many hands make light work. Last Sunday, eleven dedicated volunteers cleared a huge stretch of blackberries, Scotch broom, and other invasive weeds along the tracks. The next two Saturdays, we’ll continue this effort—then move on to laying a compacted rock trail surface.
Come lend a hand and leave a legacy for Wheeler. Saturday September 13, 9am – 1pm and/or Saturday September 20.
