has requested for the Rockaway Beach City Council to proceed with their application for development after LUBA remanded this
issue back to the city.
Let’s discuss the upcoming September 9 City Council special public hearing meeting
at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at City
Hall.
Written comments are due to the City by August 19, 2025.
Also on August 20, 2025, the city of Rockaway Beach City Council will consider new
FEMA rules at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, August 20. It is important to
make sure the city chooses the strictest possible rules for implementing the new FEMA regulations on flood zones and wetlands in this meeting. (City
will consider continuing hearing Amending
Comprehensive Plan Related to Flood Hazard Overlay to November 12, 2025).
